The Minneapolis Star Tribune will be featuring our home, and my work on getting it LEED Certified, in the Sunday Homes section tomorrow, May 8, 2011.  The reporter, Lynn Underwood, interviewed me for 3 ½ hours and made several follow-up calls to get the story right.  It made me realize just how much I have learned over the past several years, the depth of my expertise, and how completely consumed I have been by my passion for building a healthy, energy efficient, durable home.

With this article, I am hoping to get our final LEED point under the category of Awareness & Education.  It may even help me with my continuing education credits in maintaining my LEED AP Homes credential (I am one of only 5 Twin Cities professionals with that accreditation – and probably the only one whose primary project was her own home!)

Now that our house is finally just weeks away from LEED gold certification, I want to use this blog as a platform to provide people with more helpful information on sustainability.   I am working on a downloadable eBook that will be the one must-read for potential home builders and remodelers (and potentially other eBooks….).

But I need to know your questions.  Now that you have read through this post, please take a moment to comment on this page or send me your questions through the contact form.   And thanks for stopping by!
